- 2 cups steel cut oats
- 6 cups water
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 to 3 apples, peeled, chopped or shredded
- 1/2 to 1 cups dried fruit, raisins, cranberries or cherries
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
Spray the inside of a slow cooker with cooking spray.
Combine all the ingredients in the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low 4 to 5 hours.
Serve with extra nuts, fruit, yogurt, syrup, milk or cream
